Custom cable assemblies. From prototype to production.
Bring a finished drawing or an early-stage requirement. We build custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses, work with you on the design, and support your project from small batches to mass production.
- Low-volume production — Prototypes, small batches and repeat orders
- Quick turnaround — Early material checks and clear delivery timelines
- Clear & direct communication — One point of contact, working directly with the engineers
Define → Prototype → Refine → Produce
The usual path for a new design. A build-to-print order starts at the prototype.
Low-volume production
Build the quantities your development stage needs, with support for prototypes, small batches and repeat orders.
Quick turnaround
Keep development moving with early material checks, practical build options and clear delivery timelines.
Clear & direct communication
One point of contact, working directly with the engineers on your project. Clear answers and coordinated updates without multiple layers of message-passing.
Three ways to work with us
Start where your project is. Each one can be bought on its own, and any of them can lead into the next.
“I have a drawing. I need it built.”
- You bring
- A drawing, a pinout, a BOM or a clear specification.
- You get
- Samples built to the agreed specification and tested to the agreed scope, with no commitment to a later run.
“I know what it needs to do. I need help designing it.”
- You bring
- Functional requirements, interfaces, installation space or an early concept. No production drawing needed.
- You get
- A manufacturable cable or harness design developed with our engineering partners, prototyped, refined and built under your brand.
“I need a partner from the first prototype through production.”
- You bring
- A prototype to validate, or a design you already hold and want produced.
- You get
- Pilot builds, mass production and repeat orders to the approved revision, with every change carried forward.

The usual path for a new design. A build-to-print order starts at the prototype build and a repeat order goes straight to production — no step you don't need.
Send what you have
A drawing, a sample or a written requirement. We come back with the questions that matter.
Define the build
Materials confirmed as exact part numbers, manufacturability checked, open points taken up with the engineers and answered back to you. The quotation states lead time and scope.
Prototype
Samples built to the agreed specification, with photos and measurements. You evaluate them on your own bench.
Refine
Revisions confirmed in writing with their cost and schedule impact, then carried into the drawing.
First article and pilot
Once you confirm the design, a first article is built and approved by you before any run starts.
Produce and deliver
Pilot builds, mass production and repeat orders to the approved revision — inspected and tested to the agreed plan, packed and shipped worldwide.
What you can hold us to
Interconnix is an independent supplier. We quote the work, coordinate the engineering and the build with an established manufacturing partner, and stay accountable from the first conversation to delivery. You work with us, and we work directly with the engineers handling your project; when a discussion needs more technical depth, we bring them into the meeting.
About Interconnix →- Prototypes, small batches and repeat orders as a standard service
- One point of contact, working directly with the engineers on your project
- Materials checked early, and a delivery date confirmed in the quotation rather than promised in advance
- Specified connector brands sourced as specified, confirmed in writing
- Prototypes for you to evaluate before any first article is approved
- Changes confirmed in writing, with cost and schedule impact, before anything is rebuilt
- Drawing, BOM and revision carried forward from prototype to production
- Documentation and test records confirmed in the quotation
- One company accountable for quotation, schedule and delivery
- Alternatives for long-lead parts, used only with your approval
Not starting from a clean sheet?
Have a sample but no drawing?
Send photos or the part itself. We identify what we can, say plainly what still needs a drawing, and confirm with the supplier what can be matched before you commit.
Long-lead components holding up your prototype?
When specified components are difficult to source, we can evaluate alternatives — including China-made options — to help you progress with proof-of-concept testing. Proposed substitutions are reviewed against your test objectives and used only with your approval.
An alternative suitable for a proof of concept may still need further validation before production.
Re-sourcing an existing harness?
Tariffs, lead times or single-supplier risk: we transfer a running assembly from your current vendor — same drawing, same connector part numbers, a pilot lot checked side by side before cutover.

Can I order prototypes or small batches?
Yes. Prototypes, small batches and repeat orders are a normal part of the work here, not an exception. Quantity and feasibility for a given design are confirmed in the quotation, as is the price at each quantity — see low-volume production.
Can you help if I do not have a finished drawing?
Yes. Start from the functional requirement, the interfaces, the installation space or a sketch. We work directly with our engineering partners to turn it into a manufacturable design: connector selection, wire, pinout and routing. That is the ODM service. A physical sample is another starting point: we identify what we can, and say plainly what still needs a drawing.
What does your ODM service include?
Design development from your requirement: component selection, pinout, routing and assembly definition, prototypes and revisions, then manufacturing of the agreed design under your brand. The scope is the cable or harness. Engineering fees, the scope of revisions and the documents delivered are set out before work starts.
Can you support mass production after prototyping?
Yes. Once you confirm the design, a first article is built and approved by you, a pilot build follows, and mass production and repeat orders are built to that approved revision. The same drawing and BOM carry through every stage.
What if a specified component has a long lead time?
We can look for alternatives you can test with, including China-made options, and show you the differences in brand, part number and specification. A substitution is used only with your approval, and a part that is fine for a proof of concept may still need validation before production.
How is the lead time determined?
By the design, the materials and any tooling. Connector availability usually decides it, so materials are checked early and a delivery date is confirmed in the quotation rather than quoted as a blanket number.
How is technical communication handled?
Interconnix is your main point of contact. We work directly with the engineers handling your project to clarify requirements, resolve technical questions and coordinate revisions. When needed, we arrange a joint meeting so you and the engineering team can work through the details together.
Who manufactures the assemblies?
Interconnix is an independent supplier. We quote the work and coordinate the engineering and the build with an established manufacturing partner in Shenzhen, China. We are not that company's subsidiary, US office or authorized representative.
What files are required for a quote?
Ideally a drawing, pinout and BOM. A part number, a datasheet, a written requirement or photos with a short description are enough to start.
Can you work from a physical sample or identify an unknown connector?
Often. Send photos with a scale reference or the sample itself, and we tell you what has been identified, what still needs a drawing, and what the supplier can match — before anything is built.
Can you use the connector brands I specify?
Yes — genuine JST, Molex, TE, Hirose and others, sourced as specified and confirmed in writing, never silently substituted.
Can you supply high-flex cable for moving equipment?
Yes — for 3D printers, robot arms and similar. The right construction depends on bend radius, motion type, environment and expected service life, so suitability is confirmed per application rather than quoted as a cycle count.
Can you source a cable you don't manufacture?
Often, yes. With a part number or datasheet we can look at sourcing it — including products our manufacturing supplier doesn't build in-house. Availability and price are confirmed case by case.
Do you make automotive wiring harnesses?
No. Automotive wiring is outside what our manufacturing supplier produces, so we don't quote it.
How are engineering changes managed?
By written revision: change, cost and schedule impact confirmed before anything is built to the new rev.
Can you ship internationally, and under which Incoterms?
Yes — worldwide by courier or freight, with export documentation handled. EXW and FOB are the usual Incoterms; whatever applies is fixed on the quotation.
What are your payment terms?
T/T, with the terms for your order fixed on the quotation.
Do you sign NDAs?
Yes — yours or ours, before any drawings change hands.
Who owns custom tooling, like overmold tools?
You do. Customer-paid tooling is customer property, documented in the quote, and never used for another customer.
What if parts arrive defective?
Tell us and we'll take it up with the supplier — repair, replacement or credit, with the response and the cause confirmed in writing.
Have a drawing, a requirement,or a prototype to improve?
Tell us what you are building, the quantities you need and your target timeline.
